In this post I will explain my overall conclusion that how diversity effect the workplace. As I mention earlier that diversity is important for a successful business. Diversity in workplace have more advantages than disadvantages so it is good to take benefit from it. Diversity in a workplace is beneficial so to overcome its challenges you should use the concept of diversity management. If any business does not accept the need of diversity in workplace then its result can be a less profit or loss of business.

Consequences of ignoring diversity
:
v  Ignoring diversity issues can costs time, money and efficiency.
v  Loss of productivity because of increased conflicts.
v  Complaints and legal actions.
v  If company does not allow to retain women and people of different regions it can lost investments in recruitment and training.

Diversity in a workplace is growing day by day. The need for diversity in workplace are increasing not only because of different type of people but also because of creative solutions for problems are given by these diverse workplace people. Diversity is good in many ways, with diverse work environment employees can produce good performance.

All the organisations should learn about diversity and management of diversity of a successful business.it is not only good for organisations or companies but also for employees who are working in a diverse workplace. Importance of a diversity in a workplace

As global market expand diversity in a workplace become an important component for successful business. Now business people and companies are getting more and more profits just because of the diversity in a workplace.
 Diversity is also important of the employees who are working in those companies

  • Regular interaction with people of different countries and regions will help to reduce the discrimination. 
  • It can create a better bond between diverse employees. 
  • It help to increase morale. Diverse workplace increase organisational productivity as people of different work experiences, knowledge and different point of views work together and create good solutions for any kind of problems.

The organisation that have diversity in workplace reflect local communities. It increase their reputation and help to improve shortage of skills that are required for a business.

Managing a diversity in a workplace

Managing diversity in the workplace is an important part of successful business for an organisation. There are several reasons for managing a workplace diversity such as to increase equal employment opportunities. Diversity in work place is beneficial for both employees and associates. 

  • The diagram below shows the way we should use for managing diversity in a workplace.


Hiring is an important component of diversity management strategies. The company should hire those employees who are able to do the particular type of work. For a diversity management of employees they should recruiting college campuses. There should be a person involve in a workplace who can speak  multi languages so it will be easily for every worker to take help from him/her for translating the language that they are unable to understand.

Apart from this there should be a commitment letter. Each and every employee should have to follow the commitment that they made before getting a job. Training and performance monitoring should be given to them so worker can learn how to work in a diverse workplace.

Disadvantages of diversity in place

Welcome to my second post, in this I am going to explain further about diversity in workplace. As I mention in my first post that there are some disadvantages also along with advantages of workplace diversity.The main factor of disadvantages is communication issues.

  • In a diverse workplace people from different regions work together they may not understand each other languages. Language barrier can be an issue.
  • In a diverse workplace workers may not feel free to speak. 
  • There may be a lack of freedom to speak. As they work in that place where people from different countries and regions work together so employees must be sensitive to other’s cultural beliefs and background. 
  • They must have to think before saying anything because it may mean something else in co-workers region.
 The following diagram illustrate some negative points of diversity in workplace,





In a diverse workplace people of different age group and different level of experience work together so there may be a chance of disagreement at a certain point of time. Workers behavior may also be disrespectful for each other and consistency may also decrease. People who are more experienced will also have negative opinion towards other workers. There are more chances of discrimination in a diverse workplace.
